This is quite possibly the easiest thing I've ever done. Seriously. I thrifted a long-sleeved t-shirt to turn into a shrug to wear with a strapless dress to our tenth anniversary dinner date, which, in case you were wondering, was the most fabulous meal I have ever eaten (it took five hours!). Anyhow, I had already cut the shirt down the front middle, shaped it a bit, and cut about four inches off the bottom because I was following a particular pattern. Then, I saw this tutorial and...
Clearly, this is not the dress I made the shrug for, but Anastasia wanted to take my picture (not bad for a three-year-old, huh?) and I figured I would kill two birds with one stone to both make her happy and finally get this entry posted. So, you can see the lovely outfit I wore around the house today (minus the shrug, except for the moment it took to take the picture, because it is so freakin' hot around here!).
First, I quite like it with that outfit. Wait - did I just turn British? Second, as long as I have known you, which is since the day I was born, your meals have taken close to 5 hours - finished up just in time for all of the dinner dishes to have been finished by other people!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet that long sleeved t-shirt never looked better - it's really nice, a very good shape! Was it easy?
ReplyDeleteNice! I especially love that the picture was taken from the vantage point of a 3 year old.
